Meet the Owner

Alfred Lohmann, owner of AP Lohmann, standing in the restoration shop showcasing historic window and door craftsmanship.

Alfred is a graduate of The Corcoran School of Art and has always loved working with his hands.  His first real exposure to carpentry came on a trip to the south of France where he was commissioned by some friends to restore the double arched topped doors to their 300 year old farm villa. From there his love of woodworking and history took over.  He has over 25 years of experience as a carpenter as well as a diverse range of building experience as a project manager in residential as well as commercial construction.  He is a current board member of the Thornbury Township Historic Commission and is a corporate sponsor for the Association of Preservation Technologies (DVC).  Alfred and his wife of 24 years live in West Chester with their 4 daughters, 2 dogs, a cat and a snake.
