Custom Storm Windows

Preserve. Protect. Perform.

Our custom wood storm windows are crafted to complement historic windows while providing added energy efficiency, weather protection, and noise reduction. Each storm is individually templated and fabricated for a precise fit using solid Sapele Mahogany and traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery. Each storm window comes with swappable glass and screen panels, allowing the panels to be changed seasonally.  Storm frames are finished in linseed oil paint or conventional paint, color-matched to the existing windows and trim, and installed with traditional hanging hardware for a durable, seamless addition to your historic home.

Paint Services Offered

Conventional Paint

For our conventional paint finish, we use Benjamin Moore ADVANCE® Waterborne Alkyd paint, a durable coating designed to provide the smooth, hard finish of a traditional alkyd paint with the application and cleanup benefits of a waterborne formula.
Our conventional finish is available in a wide range of colors, and we can create a custom color match to coordinate with your home’s existing exterior or interior colors. This allows us to closely match existing trim, windows, doors, or other architectural details while maintaining a cohesive appearance.
Linseed Oil

We offer Ottosson Linseed Oil Paint, a traditional Swedish paint made from cold-pressed linseed oil and natural pigments. Manufactured in Sweden using traditional milling techniques, Ottosson paint provides a rich, durable finish that is particularly well suited to historic woodwork.
Linseed oil paint is a breathable coating that works with the natural movement and moisture exchange of wood rather than trapping moisture beneath the surface. It is an excellent choice for historic windows, doors, trim, siding, and shutters, allowing us to use traditional materials that complement the original construction of historic buildings.
